Job summary

Schindler offers an indentured apprenticeship to train you to install, service, repair, and modernise lifts, escalators and moving walkways. You will rotate across the business to help decide your specialization after completion.

You will develop exceptional customer service skills while working with customers and have the opportunity to work full-time and study at TAFE/Trade School to receive your Electrotechnology Certificate III.

Qualifications

  • Completed school studies to year 10 or above.
  • Ideally have completed Certificate II in Electrotechnology (not essential).
  • Excellent safety awareness.
  • Hands-on approach to enjoy mechanical and technical work.
  • Interest in working with electrical systems.
  • Good communication and the ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Support installation, service, repair, and modernisation of lifts, escalators and moving walkways.
  • Rotate across the business to help decide specialization after completing the apprenticeship.
  • Develop exceptional customer service skills while working with customers.

About the role:

Our apprentices are trained in all the skills required to install, service, repair and modernise lifts, escalators and moving walkways. If you join our program, you will rotate across our business to help you decide what you want to specialise in after completing your apprenticeship.

As an apprentice, you will get to work closely with our customers and develop exceptional customer service skills. One of the many bonuses is that we will provide you with the chance to work full-time and study at TAFE / Trade School to receive your trade qualification in Electrotechnology Certificate III.

To be successful:
