Programmed Maintenance Services – Newcastle NSW is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Electrician to begin a rewarding career in the electrical trade.

This full-time role offers above-award wages and a nationally recognised Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician, with on-the-job learning and formal training through Programmed Apprenticeships and Traineeships in partnership with Programmed Electrical Technologies.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in pursuing a career in the electrical trade.
• Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Pre-Apprenticeship) or relevant industry experience highly regarded.
• Reliable, hardworking and eager to learn.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Enjoy working with hands and being part of a team.
• Committed to attending and completing all required TAFE training.
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.

Responsabilités

• Work alongside qualified electricians to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade.
• Assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
• Develop practical skills in testing, fault-finding and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Participate in structured training that combines on-the-job learning with formal education.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
