Australia Post is seeking an Electric Vehicle Delivery Driver at the Hervey Bay Delivery Centre. You will operate a 3-wheeled electric delivery vehicle, delivering mail and small parcels with care in the local community, starting each day with a supportive team.

You will be mentored by Rider Mentors, complete safety checks, and have opportunities for growth within the postal network. The role offers permanent full-time hours, a focus on safety, and a pathway to leadership.

About the opportunity

As a Postie, you’ll deliver on a modern three‑wheeled electric delivery vehicle, representing a trusted national service and playing an important role in keeping communities connected. Each day starts as part of a supportive team, preparing mail and small parcels at the facility before heading out to complete deliveries to homes and businesses with care and consistency.

Safety is built into every part of the role, from completing daily vehicle checks to following well‑established processes that support confident, reliable delivery in changing conditions. You won’t be doing it alone — experienced Rider Mentors provide hands‑on guidance and ongoing support, helping you build skills, confidence and capability over time.

This role suits someone who takes pride in delivering strong outcomes, values teamwork and safety, and is motivated to succeed and grow in a role that makes a real difference every day.

About you

• Hold a full or probationary Australian driver’s licence and pass required assessments.
• Flexible to work additional hours when needed.
• Reliable and detail‑focused, handling mail and parcels up to 16kg.
• Meet safety requirements, including the role’s safe working load limit (120kg or less)
• Keen to learn and progress, with pathways into senior delivery or frontline leadership roles.
