Job summary

Huhtamaki is seeking an Environment, Health & Safety Specialist in Preston, Victoria to lead safety and environmental initiatives at the site. You will drive compliance with ISO45001, support managers, and foster a proactive safety culture across operations.

The role focuses on risk assessment, incident investigations, and coordination with WorkSafe and WorkCover to ensure safe, compliant, and sustainable site practices.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing safety management systems.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and legal requirements.
• Ability to develop and deliver safety training programs.
• Proven track record in risk assessment and incident investigation.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for safety, environment, and sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental legislation and standards.
• Provide technical guidance to managers and employees on EH&S matters.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility on site.
• Coordinate safety audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Manage WorkCover claims coordination and return-to-work processes.
