Job summary

Cook Medical Inc. in Brisbane is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist on a 24-month fixed-term contract to support and continuously improve the EHS program across governance, compliance, and safety initiatives.

You will collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, administer EHS systems like MYOSH and ChemAlert, lead incident investigations, and drive training and performance improvement to protect people and the environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience developing and implementing EHS programs in regulated industries.
• Experience administering EHS management systems such as MYOSH and ChemAlert.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and Australian standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continual improvement of EHS management systems.
• Conduct incident investigations, risk assessments, audits, and corrective actions.
• Administer EHS systems including MYOSH and ChemAlert.
• Support environmental compliance, project activities, and contractor management.
• Deliver training and contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
