Job summary

Catholic Early EdCare is seeking a casual Educator to join Christ the King OSHC, Deception Bay, caring for up to 45 children. Approximately 15 hours weekly, before/after school and vacation care, in a warm, supportive setting with dedicated OSHC spaces.

Cook nutritious snacks, help plan activities, maintain a clean, welcoming space, and build strong connections with children and families. You will help deliver engaging activities, support play-based learning, and contribute to a safe, nurturing

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate III in Children’s Services or ACECQA equivalent (desirable)
• Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)

This is a casual role of approximately 15 hours per week, working before and after school and during vacation care.
You'll be working right in the heart of the school community, with access to a range of fantastic spaces — including a dedicated OSHC room, spacious oval, library, hall, and covered outdoor areas. It's the ideal setting for active, hands-on programs where children can explore, connect, and thrive.
As part of our team, you'll help create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children feel supported and inspired. Job Requirements:

• Hold (or are working towards) a Diploma or Certificate III in Children's Services or an ACECQA equivalent qualification (desirable)
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• A passion for the education and care of school-aged children in a play-based environment
• Effective workplace communication skills
• Willingness to step into an Educational Leader or Responsible Person in Charge (RPIC) role as required
