Fit Kidz Learning Centres is seeking an Educator to support the Lead Educator and contribute to a stimulating, caring environment that aligns with the National Quality Framework and standards. You will help implement a quality program and promote children’s wellbeing, learning and development.

Qualifications

• Relevant ACECQA‑approved Certificate III or actively working towards it.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, Emergency Asthma Training.
• Working with Children Check as required by law.
• Evidence of Child Protection Training with annual refreshers.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Educator in delivering learning programs aligned with EYLF and centre values.
• Welcome children and families, ensuring respectful and meaningful communication.
• Maintain confidentiality in parent/staff communications and daily records.
• Assist with basic duties including food/bottle prep, nappies, and room outdoor area upkeep.
• Contribute to implementing centre policies and annual policy reviews.

Job Description

Fit Kidz Learning Centres Educators are a respected position within Fit Kidz with the responsibility to contribute towards providing a stimulating, caring and happy environment for children, and to support positive outcomes under the National Quality Framework, Regulations and National Quality Standards. The role of an Educator is to support the Lead Educator/Teacher in the implementation of a quality educational program, and support children’s wellbeing, learning and development whilst role modelling appropriate practice that is reflective of policies, procedures, our vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the Lead Educator/Teacher in the development and delivery of the learning program as per the Early Years Learning Framework and our Vision and Values.
• Comply at all times with the National Quality Framework, all relevant legislation both state and federal and the National Quality Standards.
• Welcome each child and their family to the service each day and ensure communication is meaningful and respectful.
• Be professional, kind, and respectful in all that you do and say. Establishing relationships and developing positive interactions with children, families, and educators.
• Commitment to on-going learning and development as a professional under the Code of Ethics.
• Do your part to ensure that all educators, children, and families have a sense of belonging at the service and that their experiences are positive.
• Give each child individual attention and comfort as required. Basic duties including food/bottle preparation, nappy changing and cleaning of the room and outdoor area.
• Ensure that all information provided to you via parent and staff conversations and phone calls are passed on to the appropriate persons in a confidential and respectful manner.
• To facilitate the implementation of the centre’s QIP goals and uphold the Vision and Core Values.
• To be aware of and implement all Fit Kidz policies and procedures and participate in the yearly review process for every policy.
• To complete and record the shift duties responsibilities checklist daily.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

• Relevant Cert III Qualification (Approved by ACECQA) or be ‘actively working towards’ this qualification as per the definition in Regulation 10 of the Education and Care Services Regulation.
• Hold a current First Aid Certificate (approved by ACECQA).
• Hold a current CPR Certificate (approved by ACECQA).
• Hold a current Anaphylaxis Training (approved by ACECQA).
• Hold a current Emergency Asthma Management Training (approved by ACECQA).
• Hold a current Working with Children Check as required under legislation.
• Provide evidence of completing Child Protection Training (approved by ACECQA) and a commitment to complete annual refresher training.
• Commitment to maintaining current knowledge and attend additional training as necessary.
