Job summary

RIBBONS AND ROCKETS EARLY LEARNING CENTRE in the Greater Sydney Area seeks an Educational Leader to guide pedagogical practice and curriculum. This full-time, on-site role focuses on leading programs aligned with EYLF and regulatory requirements while coaching staff and partnering with families to support children's learning.

The role emphasizes reflective practice, documentation, and child safety, with involvement in quality improvement and compliance activities within a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Relevant early childhood education qualification (Bachelor or Diploma) and NSW certification as required.
• Experience as Educational Leader or senior educator in early learning or childcare.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQF, National Law and Regulations; translate to practice.
• Skills in curriculum planning, program evaluation and reflective practice for play-based learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for partnerships with children, families and colleagues.
• Proven ability to mentor and coach educators and support ongoing professional development.
• Commitment to child safety, inclusive education and culturally responsive practice with diverse communities.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills; manage multiple priorities and documentation.
• Current Working With Children Check and first aid, CPR, and anaphylaxis/asthma certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with educational documentation, observations, and using digital platforms to record/share learning.

Responsibilities

• Guide pedagogical practice and curriculum across the centre.
• Design, implement and evaluate educational programs reflecting EYLF, NQF and regulations.
• Coach and mentor educators and support reflective practice.
• Ensure inclusive, play-based learning for diverse needs.
• Collaborate with families and oversee documentation and assessment of learning.
• Promote child safety and wellbeing in routines and interactions.
• Contribute to quality improvement plans and compliance with NSW Education Dept and ACECQA.
• Foster a positive, professional team culture.
