Job summary

Coral Park Primary School in Hampton Park, Melbourne’s southeast, is seeking an Education Support class staff member to assist teachers and support student learning under supervision. You will coordinate routine tasks, help plan student routines and provide wellbeing support as part of a small team in a busy classroom.

Applicants will work within school policies, uphold our values of Respect, Responsibility, Determination and Resilience, and may supervise up to four students.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated capacity to coordinate others in respect to specific work functions.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
• Strong oral and written communication skills within a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine support for teachers including assisting with planning of student routines.
• Supports communication between teachers and parents.
• Communicates with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities.
• Provides basic physical care and wellbeing support for students such as toileting, meals, and lifting.
• Coordinates education support staff and assists with rostering and organisation.
