Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provides routine support for teachers including assisting with planning of student routines.
• Supports communication between teachers and parents.
• Communicates with teachers on routine matters related to students and responsibilities.
• Provides basic physical care and wellbeing support for students (toileting, meals, lifting).
• Supports teachers in coordinating educational programs and rostering tasks.
• Coordinates, guides and supports other student support staff as needed.
• Provides medical intervention support to students under trained guidance.
• Provides specialised communication support (AUSLAN and braille).
