Job summary

HorizonOne Recruitment Pty is seeking an Education Officer to lead national education programs and policy work for a small office within a federal department. The role is located in Sydney or Melbourne with Commonwealth responsibilities and no relocation to Canberra required.

You will design and run programs to raise awareness of Islamophobia in the education sector, translate complex developments into strategic guidance, and work with schools, training providers and communities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in Australian education policy and programs.
• Ability to translate research and community insight into effective education resources and advice.
• Strong written and verbal communication for briefs, submissions and reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate national education programs, initiatives and events.
• Scan environment to anticipate issues and provide strategic advice.
• Advise senior leadership on sensitive issues and influence stakeholders across government, education and community.
• Evaluate program outcomes and adjust approaches to deliver results.
• Identify and manage risks across policy, project and program delivery.
• Prepare high-quality briefs and reports for leadership.
