Education Policy and Partnership Lead – University of the Sunshine Coast

Centre for Support and Advancement of Learning and Teaching (CSALT) – UniSC Sunshine Coast (Sippy Downs) or UniSC Moreton Bay (Petrie).

Level 8 salary $115,240 – $130,514 per annum, plus up to 17% employer superannuation.

Full‑time, ongoing appointment.

The Opportunity

CSALT is a key driver of UniSC’s commitment to high‑quality learning and teaching, supporting curriculum innovation, student experience, and strong partnerships across the University. Through initiatives such as the Curriculum Design Framework and the PACE Learning and Teaching model, CSALT supports the Academic Portfolio in delivering transformative learning experiences and ensuring excellence in program design and delivery.

As the Education Policy and Partnerships Lead, you will shape education policy, support quality curriculum and learning partnerships to advance UniSC’s strategic teaching goals. You will provide expert guidance to staff and stakeholders, lead the development and implementation of policies and processes, and coordinate partnerships that ensure quality, consistency and innovation in learning and teaching across the University.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on education policies, procedures and curriculum to support quality program delivery and strategic university goals.
• Lead the review, development, approval and communication of delegated education policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with internal and external requirements.
• Develop, implement and maintain efficient processes and resources to support academic staff in curriculum development and review, including automation where appropriate.
• Coordinate learning partnerships in alignment with strategic teaching goals.

You enjoy building strong partnerships, leading projects and translating complex requirements into clear, practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and/or extensive experience in education policy, curriculum management or a related field in a higher education setting.
• Strong knowledge of how university strategic priorities, policies and procedures support learning and teaching excellence.
• Demonstrated organisational skills to coordinate complex curriculum and partnership activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing policy, procedure and guidance documentation and managing the communication of delegated policy change.
• Understanding of the university environment, programmes, legislative requirements and governance relating to curriculum and learning partnerships.
• Proficiency in systems such as SharePoint, Teams and Canvas, with the ability to adapt skills to other relevant technologies.
