ArtSupport is seeking Education Assistants – Mainstream for North Kalgoorlie Primary School in Kalgoorlie. The roles include permanent and fixed-term, full-time and part-time positions with start during the 2027 school year.

You will support teachers in delivering planned education programs and foster an inclusive learning environment. Duties include operating computers, delivering individual or small-group programs, maintaining learning materials, and keeping the classroom safe and organized.

Job description

We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistants – Mainstream for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

North Kalgoorlie Primary School (PS) is located in the suburb of Lamington. The school first opened in 1902 and boasts a solid reputation for providing a quality education in a settled and focussed environment, a standard expected by our actively involved school community.

The school has a number of programs and initiatives that support the very broad range of academic abilities. Students at North Kalgoorlie PS are from varied backgrounds. Some are fourth generation Kalgoorlie born families. Some are families involved in the mining industry who move location regularly. Others are from various Aboriginal groups around the state and country, while an increasing number come from cultural groups with English as an Additional Language.

The Role

As an Education Assistant, you will support our teachers in delivering planned education programs and fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. This is an opportunity to make a real cultural impact in the lives of students and to develop your own skills and autonomy in a supportive environment.

You will be responsible for assisting teachers in delivering planned education programs, including the operation of computers and implementing individual or small group programs or demonstrations. You will also help maintain the learning environment by keeping equipment, materials, and resources organised and ready for use in classes and activities, and by helping to keep the classroom clean and safe. This role will provide you with the opportunity to play a positive impact in the lives of students and to develop your own skills and autonomy in a supportive environment.

Eligibility
