Brisbane Catholic Education seeks two teachers to ignite a passion for learning at St Mary's Primary School, Laidley, in a Catholic education setting. Roles start October 2026 and are fixed-term Term 4 contracts with 30 hours per week, commensurate with experience.

The school welcomes candidates who demonstrate alignment to the Australian Curriculum and the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, with a preference for Catholic applicants.

Qualifications

• Create a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
• Design and deliver curriculum programs in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
• Commit to engaging with colleagues, students and parents to enrich learning outcomes.
• Support students' spiritual and moral development; Catholic faith preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing and orderly learning environment aligned with curriculum policies and practices.
• Collaboratively develop and implement quality curriculum programs and pedagogy; evaluate effectiveness; assess and report student progress to students, parents and community.
• Collaborate with the leadership team, teachers and staff to foster a positive school culture.
• Proactively engage in professional learning to enhance student outcomes.
• Establish positive pastoral-care relationships and support spiritual/moral development.
• Ensure teaching aligns with Catholic Church values.
