Job summary

We Do Social Work is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join a Children’s Centre team in the Early Years service. You will deliver high-quality early years education, care and developmental support to young children, promoting their learning, language and social skills.

The role involves planning engaging activities, observing progress, and working with families and professionals to ensure positive outcomes for children during their early years.

Qualifications

• Relevant Early Years / Education qualification.
• Experience working with children in early years, nursery or children's centre settings.
• Good understanding of child development and EYFS.
• Experience planning and delivering age-appropriate activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and families.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Commitment to promoting positive outcomes for children and families.

Role Overview

Essential Requirements

• RelevantEarly Years / Education qualification.




• Experience working with children in an early years, nursery, children's centre or similar setting.




• Good understanding of child development and theEarly Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).




• Experience of planning and delivering age-appropriate activities.




• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.




• Ability to build positive relationships with children and families.




• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.




• Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working within aChildren’s Centreor Early Help environment.




• Experience supporting children and families who may require additional support.




• Knowledge of early intervention and family support services.




• Experience working alongside health, education, social care or other partner agencies.

Working Pattern

27.5 hours per week, supporting a temporaryproject / one-off workload peakwithin the Early Years and Children’s Centre service.
