Job summary

IQVIA is seeking an Associate Medical Director to provide medical leadership across Phase I/early Phase II studies in ANZ and APAC. The role emphasizes medical oversight, protocol review, safety signal assessment, and collaboration with sponsors, investigators, and project teams.

The candidate will support business development, feasibility assessments, and strategic medical input to drive study delivery and growth in a dynamic, cross-cultural environment.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited, internationally recognised medical school.
• Current medical licence or eligibility to practise medicine in a recognised jurisdiction.
• Board certification or equivalent specialty training preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Monitor, Associate Medical Director, Medical Advisor, Investigator, or similar role within pharmaceutical/biotech/CRO industry.
• Strong understanding of GCP, ICH guidelines, and applicable clinical research regulations.
• Experience in early clinical development, FIH, healthy volunteer, and/or Phase I studies preferred.
• Oncology experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight across the clinical trial lifecycle for early phase studies.
• Support sponsor interactions, protocol evaluation, and safety signal assessment.
• Lead medical review of protocols, ICFs, CRFs, and clinical study reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure patient safety and data integrity, and contribute to business development efforts.
