Job summary

Early Learning Victoria invites applications for an Early Childhood Educator role at the Newborough site. The centre opens in 2027 and will offer long day care and kindergarten programs, co-located with Newborough Primary School, within the 130-place capacity.

Relocation incentives up to $8,000 may apply based on eligibility. Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and understand Victorian frameworks.

Qualifications

• ACECQA approved Certificate III level qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, or actively working towards completion.
• Valid Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications; Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting online learning.
• Agreement to a police check; an international police check if residing outside Australia in the last 10 years.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• Safe Sleep Training is desirable.

About the Role

Opening in 2027 and co-located with Newborough Primary School, Early Learning Victoria Newborough (interim name) is a 130-place centre and will provide long day care, three- and four-year-old kindergarten programs.

This centre is located 141KMs from Melbourne and 36KMS from Warragul.

In this role, you will:

• Support the team to deliver high-quality early childhood education guided by evidence-informed, contemporary pedagogy and practice
• Contribute to and assist in the planning and implementation of the educational program, aligned with the National Quality Standards, Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and National Education and Care Law and Regulations
• Monitor children's progress and support their social, emotional and cognitive development
• Build respectful, collaborative relationships with families, children and colleagues, ensuring all children feel safe and valued

About You

• Experience as an early childhood educator (Certificate III), delivering a high-quality play-based educational program (recently qualified candidates are welcome to apply)
• Sound understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, Education Care Services National Law and Regulations, the National Quality Framework and Child Safe Standards
• Effective communication and relationship-building skills with staff, children, families and communities
• Experience working with children and families experiencing vulnerability is desirable
