Job summary

Broadmeadows Early Learning Centre in Broadmeadows, VIC is seeking a passionate Educator Assistant for a part-time role (five days, 37.5 hrs per week). You will support educators, assist with supervision, and help create a nurturing and safe learning environment for young children.

A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, WWC clearance, and First Aid/CPR are required, with a strong commitment to child development and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification.
• WWC clearance or willingness to obtain before employment.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification for early childhood settings.
• Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Commitment to a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all children.
• Knowledge of National Quality Framework, EYLF, and centre policies.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support educators in delivering age-appropriate learning activities and experiences.
• Assist with supervision and safeguarding of children.
• Ensure children's rights and best interests guide every decision.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe learning environment.
• Support routine care activities including meals, rest, and personal hygiene.
• Assist with preparation and setup of materials for activities.
• Communicate with parents and carers about children's progress and daily experiences.
• Support social skills development and positive behaviour guidance.
• Contribute to documentation and observation of learning and development.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with centre policies and relevant legislation.
