Job summary

Belgravia Leisure's Bathurst Aquatic Centre is hiring casual Swimming Teachers to educate and promote water safety for children and adults. You will teach swimming and water safety, with shifts including mornings, evenings and weekends, while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires energy, a dynamic and fun approach, and strong communication to engage diverse groups. Prior teaching experience is valued but not essential, with opportunities to grow within Belgravia Leisure.

Qualifications

• Energetic, innovative and decisive teaching style.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Current First Aid (Level 2).
• Current CPR Certificate.
• Working With Children Check (or equivalent).
• National Police Check.
• Current AustSwim Certificate – Teaching of Swimming and Water Safety.
• AUSTSWIM extension certificate (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Teach Swimming and Water Safety to grow the swim program.
• Work mornings, evenings and weekends as required.
• Communicate effectively with students of diverse ages, abilities and backgrounds.
• Ensure safety, customer service excellence and enjoyment for members, patrons and parents.
