Job summary

St Johns College, Dubbo NSW, is seeking a PDHPE Teacher for a temporary, full-time leave-coverage role commencing Term 1 2027 and finishing Term 4 2027. The successful candidate will develop quality curriculum programs, foster a learner-centred environment, and uphold the mission of Catholic education within a secondary Catholic school.

Candidates should hold NSW teaching accreditation, demonstrate effective use of technology for learning and reporting, and contribute to ongoing school

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification with NSW accreditation.
• Ability to use technology to inform, track and report learning.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to the ideals of Catholic Education.
• Experience with curriculum development and student assessment.
• Willingness to contribute to school leadership and community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality PDHPE curricula aligned with NSW guidelines.
• Assess and report student progress using appropriate tools.
• Use inclusive teaching strategies to support equitable education.
• Analyse assessment data to identify learning barriers and drive improvement.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance outcomes.
• Collaborate with leadership and staff and contribute to school life.
• Provide supervision and assist in organising extracurricular activities.
