Job summary

St Matthews Catholic School, Mudgee, NSW, invites applications for a Classroom Teacher – Secondary English & Drama. This is a permanent full-time position (1.0 FTE) commencing 28 January 2027, within a co-educational K–12 setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold relevant tertiary qualifications and accreditation to teach in NSW.
• Capacity to monitor and assess student learning data and to use this data to inform teaching for improved student learning.
• Commitment to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities and to reflect on, evaluate and improve professional knowledge in a PLT.
• Desire to engage with and contribute to a Catholic learning organisation.
• Ability to develop positive relationships in the classroom based on mutual respect and understanding.
• Up to date knowledge of NESA and Australian Curriculum requirements for all stages in your KLA area.

• Creating a learner-centred, supportive, and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies.
• Developing and implementing quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods; assess and report student progress.
