Nathalia Secondary College is seeking a classroom teacher to deliver engaging Year 7–12 programs, align literacy and numeracy with curriculum, and contribute to school improvement. You will work within a collaborative learning community in a rural setting, supported by modern facilities and a strong student-centred approach.

The role emphasizes high-quality teaching, data-driven practice, and active participation in school programs, with relocation support and retention incentives available

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills.
• Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn.
• Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning with data-informed feedback.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.
• Demonstrated behaviours consistent with Department values and commitment to professional learning.

Responsabilités

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs.
• Undertake other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
