Job summary

Change Education Recruitment is partnering with a well‑regarded independent school in the City to appoint an engaging and dedicated HSIE Teacher for a permanent position commencing in Term 1, 2027. The school offers a collaborative, well‑resourced environment with a strong academic culture and contemporary teaching practices.

You will join the HSIE faculty delivering engaging lessons, with the subject allocation discussed with suitable applicants.

Qualifications

Relevant teaching qualifications and experience teaching secondary HSIE.
Strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom practice.
Ability to teach with creativity, enthusiasm and academic rigour.
Confidence using technology to support student learning.
Inclusive approach to teaching varied learning needs.
Flexible, collaborative and team-focused attitude.
Commitment to students’ academic progress and personal development.
Current NESA accreditation, or eligibility to obtain it.
A valid NSW Working With Children Check.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and appropriately challenging HSIE lessons across Years 7–12.
Plan high-quality learning experiences that support diverse learning needs.
Differentiate teaching and assessment to help students achieve their potential.
Incorporate technology purposefully to enhance learning.
Assess student progress and provide meaningful, timely feedback.
Contribute to faculty planning, curriculum development and professional collaboration.
Participate in the wider academic and co-curricular life of the school.
Build positive relationships with students, colleagues and families.
