Job summary

St Leonard’s College invites applications for a passionate French Teacher to join our community on an ongoing basis from Term 1, 2027. The role supports teaching across Years 5–12, with a 2027 load of Years 5–9, in a collaborative, progressive environment with access to modern facilities.

Candidates with tertiary Education qualifications, current VIT registration, and knowledge of the Australian Curriculum (French) are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Education.
• Current VIT Registration.
• Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum (French) and experience teaching across Years 5–12.
• Experience teaching VCE and/or IB French preferred.
• Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and ICT integration in learning.
• Well-developed classroom management to boost engagement and outcomes.
• Active contribution to a collegial work environment.
• Uphold the ethos and values of the College.

Responsibilities

• Teach French across Years 5–12 in a collaborative, progressive setting.
• In 2027, teach Years 5–9.
• Work with colleagues to support high-quality teaching and student growth.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and use modern teaching spaces and resources.
