Job summary

Young Academics Early Learning Centre is seeking an Assistant Educator for our Westmead service. You will support the Room Leader, deliver an inclusive EYLF-based program, and help create a safe, engaging learning environment for children ages 0–6.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday with a rotating roster from 6:30 am to 6 pm. You will collaborate with families and staff to promote wellbeing and lifelong learning, uphold child-safe practices, and contribute to a positive team culture

Qualifications

• Experience planning, documentation and implementing programs for 0–6 year olds.
• Currently enrolled in or completed Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS and sector regulations.
• Current First Aid training and CPR Certificate.
• Valid NSW Working with Children Check.
• Commitment to a Child Safe Organisation and inclusive practices.
• Mandatory National Child Safety Training.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Room Leader in providing high-quality education and care.
• Develop and deliver an inclusive and innovative program.
• Apply approved learning frameworks (EYLF) that promote identity, belonging, wellbeing and learning.
• Maintain a safe environment and adhere to health and hygiene protocols.
• Lead by example and foster a respectful team culture.
• Partner with families to support children’s development and education goals.
• Maintain clear communication within team, children and families.
• Meet Mandatory Reporting responsibilities.
