DHL Supply Chain in Australia is seeking an experienced Driver Trainer to support the transport team by delivering driver training programs and assessing competency to promote safety and regulatory compliance.

The role focuses on inductions, ride-alongs, coaching drivers to achieve high performance, maintaining training records, and ensuring CoR/NHVR compliance. You will collaborate with Operations and safety teams to drive continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience as Driver Trainer or similar training role.
• Strong knowledge of CoR, NHVR requirements, fatigue management and transport compliance.
• Current Heavy Vehicle Licence (HC or MC preferred).
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
• Passion for safety and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong administrative and reporting capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Deliver induction and refresher training for drivers.
• Conduct driver assessments, ride-alongs, and competency evaluations.
• Coach and mentor drivers to improve safety, compliance, and performance.
• Support investigations relating to driving incidents and identify corrective actions.
• Monitor driver performance and maintain training records.
• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR requirements, fatigue management, and road transport legislation.
• Develop and implement driver development initiatives and toolbox talks.
• Partner with Operations, Transport Managers, and safety teams to drive continuous improvement.
