Job summary

Coregas Mackay is seeking a safety-focused Driver and back-up yard support to join the Mackay Operations team. The role combines local deliveries with cylinder processing and filling, giving you a hands-on mix of road work and branch duties.

You’ll operate forklifts and pallet jacks, perform pre-trip checks, scan and log cylinders, and provide friendly professional service at customer sites while upholding our Zero Harm culture.

Qualifications

• Heavy rigid licence and forklift certification are essential.
• Commitment to safe work practices and procedures.
• Ability to load/unload cylinders and operate in a warehouse/yard.
• Customer-focused approach and good communication.
• Experience with dangerous goods or gas operations is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Batch, palletise, load and deliver cylinders safely and on time.
• Perform pre-trip checks and vehicle condition reports.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and handheld scanners per procedures.
• Inspect, sort, scan and fill cylinders while logging records.
• Provide friendly, professional service at customer sites.

We are looking for a safety-focused, dependable Driver and back up yard support to join our Mackay Operations team. This varied position combines local deliveries with cylinder processing and filling, giving you the opportunity to work both on the road and within our branch.

What you’ll do

• Batch, palletise, load and deliver cylinders, packs and flasks safely and on time.
• Complete pre-trip checks, vehicle condition reports and identify maintenance needs.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and handheld scanners in line with procedures.
• Inspect, sort, scan and fill cylinders while maintaining product quality and accurate records.
• Provide friendly, professional service and represent the Coregas brand at every customer site.
• Contribute to a clean, organised workplace and actively support our Zero Harm culture.

What you’ll bring

• A current Heavy Rigid truck licence.
• Current forklift certification.
• A strong commitment to safe work practices and following procedures.
• The physical capability to undertake loading, unloading and other hands-on duties.
• Clear communication, reliability and a customer-first approach.
• Comfort using basic computer systems and handheld scanning devices.
• Experience with dangerous goods, gas operations or a safety and quality management system will be highly regarded.
