Job summary

HMR Drilling | Mining | Raiseboring in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Drill Fitter to join our maintenance team supporting drilling operations across WA. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing drill rigs and heavy mining equipment, diagnosing faults, conducting preventative maintenance, and keeping accurate service records in a safety‑driven environment.

This is a permanent full‑time, FIFO role from Perth with meals, accommodation and flights provided, and

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic (or similar)
• Experience on drill rigs or heavy mining equipment is essential
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening
• Police clearance within 12 months
• Manual Driver’s Licence

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair drill rigs and heavy mining equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and LV electrical faults
• Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance
• Support field crews and respond to breakdowns when required
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site standards
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation

Role Summary

You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing drill rigs and associated mining equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and productive operations.
