Job summary

Anglo American's Dawson Mine in Moura, QLD is seeking an experienced Dragline Operator to join a large open-cut operation. You will operate BE1370 and Marion 8200 draglines to produce steelmaking coal, while maintaining safety and efficiency.

This full-time role offers a 5/4/4/5 Lifestyle roster, residential and DIDO options, and a competitive remuneration package with a monthly bonus incentive under the Dawson Mines Collective Enterprise Agreement.

Qualifications

• Be an experienced dragline operator with Dozer skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge in dragline set up, operations and dig methods.
• Provide proof of your operating experience (Skills List signed by authorised site personnel).
• Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be a team player with a safety first mindset.
• Drive optimization and continuous performance improvement.

Responsibilities

Dawson Mine

Steelmaking Coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world.

Dawson Mine is a large and dynamic open cut steelmaking coal mine operation madeup of two operating pits – Central and South. It commencedoperations in 1961 and is one of theoldest coal mining operations in Central Queensland. Dawson Mine was the first mine in Australia to export coal to Japan in 1961 and was the first mine to introduce draglines into its operation in 1963.

Job Description

We would like toinvite applications from experienced Dragline Operator to join our Dawson Operation in Moura, QLD on a full-time permanent basis. The Dawson operation is a large open-cut coal mining operation showing no signs of slowing down! You will work as part of a team operating our BE1370 & Marion 8200 Draglines to produce Steelmaking Coal whilst demonstrating safe working behaviours and practices to achieve set targets.
