Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Domestic Assistant for Rapid Response to join its facilities teams. The role requires flexibility to work across the hospital, including theatres and clinics, to cover sickness or vacancies as needed.

The post involves cleaning wards, corridors, public areas and staff facilities, following infection control policies and safety procedures. Prior cleaning experience is essential for all posts.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning wards, clinics, theatres and offices to National cleaning standards
• Adhering to infection control policies and procedures
• Utilising cleaning equipment safely and ensuring deep cleans are completed timely and thoroughly
• Changing curtains as required
• Careful use of UV machine for deep cleans
• Using handheld device for reporting of jobs and tablet for machines
• Safely using ladders and transporting equipment around the hospital
• Cleaning includes public areas, toilets, bathrooms, staff rooms
• Duties include mopping, hoovering, damp dusting, tap cleaning
• Following on the job training instructions and ensuring compliance with manual handling policies
• Adhering to health and safety procedures
• Using cleaning machinery as required as per training
• Cleaning experience essential for all posts

The role as Rapid is to be fully flexible and able to work in any part of the hospital including theatres, delivery suite, corridors any where at all in the hospital. A Rapid is the person who covers AL or sickness and so will need to be happy not being based in one place for long.
