Job summary

Mercy Health in Canberra is seeking a casual Domestic Assistant to help our Home Care clients live independently at home by providing domestic tasks such as cleaning and laundry. You will join a supportive service team with flexible hours and onboarding guidance.

The ideal candidate is reliable, community-minded, and communicates well. A current Driver's Licence and willingness to adapt to clients' needs are essential, with vaccination and screening responsibilities noted as desirable.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Home or Aged Care is advantageous, but not essential.
• Experience in community support with strong relationship building and time management.
• Previous case management experience and relevant qualifications.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to meet clients’ individual needs.

We are currently looking for passionate people to support our Home Care clients to live independently at home by providing domestic assistance with cleaning and laundry duties

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Certificate III in Home or Aged Care is advantageous, but not essential.

• Passion about helping people in your community, with strong relationship building, time management and budget management skills.

• Previous case management experience as well as relevant qualifications.

• Current Drivers Licence.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• A safe, sensible approach with a practical understanding of people’s physical limitations.

• The ability to be flexible and adapt to meet clients’ individual needs.

We would also love you to have:

• A current NDIS Workers screening check

• Proof of current influenza vaccination.
