About the role

This position is a unique and exciting opportunity for an outstanding Distribution Manager to take ownership of existing adviser relationships while also driving new business across the Victorian market with a focus on IFAs. You'll be responsible for driving affiliate fund manager sales as per the National Service Strategy working autonomously to drive strategic sales activity across your allocated accounts and affiliate fund managers.

As well as;

  • Advocate boutique fund managers: Act as an expert advocate, representing their unique value propositions in the market.
  • Build and nurture client relationships: Drive engagement through proactive account and relationship management, becoming a trusted partner to clients.
  • Expand our portfolio: Strategically increase funds under management for Fidante Partners’ suite of products, contributing to our growth.
  • Raise investments: Lead the acquisition of Seed and Cornerstone investments for new boutiques across wholesale clients.
  • Be a brand ambassador: Represent Fidante Partners with professionalism and excellence, building strong connections with new and existing clients.
  • Collaborate and mentor: Foster a supportive team environment by collaborating closely and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
  • Deliver impactful presentations: Facilitate engaging presentations and seminars to advisers, showcasing our offerings and insights.

The skills & experience you’ll need.

We’re seeking a collaborative and results-driven professional with at least five years’ experience in a primary sales or distribution role within financial services, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and contributing to national initiatives.

Experience as a Business Development Manager within the financial services industry, supported by well-established client relationships, will be highly regarded. You’ll bring strong investment knowledge across Equities, Fixed Income and Alternatives, exceptional relationship management skills, and the ability to navigate complex financial products with confidence.

A strong commitment to delivering outstanding client service and an existing network across Victoria, Tasmanian markets will be viewed favourably.

As well as:

  • Proven track record of success in building and managing distribution networks and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong investment knowledge across Equities, Fixed Income and Alternatives.
  • Strong experience in identifying, pursuing, and creating sales opportunities, as well as developing long-term sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills both face to face and virtual.
  • RG146 compliant (essential)

Highly advantageous to hold a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant professional certifications preferred i.e. CFA (preferred) - CIMA (preferred)
