Job description

Boots is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our store in London, United Kingdom. The role is full‑time and is based in store – remote applicants will not be considered.

About the Opportunity

As a dispenser you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy and healthcare services safely and efficiently. You will spend your time building relationships with patients – greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, ensuring the safe sale of medicines, and providing advice using your healthcare knowledge to support patients in making informed decisions about their health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense prescriptions safely, including ordering medicines, labelling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
  • Assist other healthcare professionals in managing and delivering pharmacy services.
  • Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the pharmacist as appropriate.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
  • Keep up to date with new innovations and comply with operational processes.
  • Support patients to manage their prescriptions effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.
What You'll Need To Have
  • Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or be currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
  • Current and valid UK right to work (this role is not eligible for sponsorship).
It would be great if you also have
  • Experience working in community pharmacy.
