Job summary

A dedicated NDIS provider in Newcastle is seeking two compassionate Disability Support Workers to join their team. These part-time positions involve providing person-centred assistance with daily living, implementing behaviour support strategies, and maintaining documentation. You will work collaboratively to ensure high-quality support is delivered while fostering a positive and respectful environment. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years' experience in disability support and a Certificate III in Individual Support.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Manual Handling, especially with a ceiling hoist lifter.
  • Experience supporting individuals with an acquired brain injury.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in disability support.
  • Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards.
  • Current NSW Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Support with daily living activities.
  • Implement behaviour support strategies.
  • Document incidents and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with the care team for consistent support.
  • Uphold professional boundaries and ethical standards.
