Job summary

TAFE Queensland is seeking an AccessAbility Support Officer to coordinate disability services for students and support transformation within a large VET environment. You will manage case notes, assist with funding submissions, and provide guidance to students and external agencies to access VET pathways.

The role reports to the Manager, Student Support and is a temporary, full-time position based primarily at South Bank with potential duties at other campuses.

Qualifications

• Disability and/or Human Services qualification is desirable.
• Experience in disability services, education or training settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate disability services for students to achieve vocational and educational outcomes.
• Identify needs of students with a disability in consultation with staff and stakeholders, and negotiate reasonable adjustments.
• Prepare funding submissions and reimbursement claims, monitor expenditure and prepare reports.
• Provide information and advice to prospective students and external agencies on accessing VET pathways.
• Coordinate selection, supervision and training of disability support workers.
