Job summary

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Division is part of the Technology and Digital Programs (TDP) Group. The division provides the architectural, innovation, assurance, technology and workforce plans that underpin whole-of-government ICT capabilities. We empower TDP's workforce to create secure and easy digital government services that Australians trust.

The CTO Division brings together strategic technology leadership, governance, assurance and workforce capability to support the delivery of secure, reliable and resilient digital services. Working across a large and complex ICT environment, the division partners with business and technical stakeholders to strengthen organisational capability, manage risk and support the continuity of critical services that Australians rely on every day.

Directors – Risk Management and Business Continuity lead the strategic management and continuous improvement of risk management, business continuity and organisational resilience across Technology and Digital Programs (TDP).

The role provides strategic leadership and advice on enterprise risks, control effectiveness, resilience, preparedness and continuity capability. Directors work with senior stakeholders to ensure critical business services, processes and supporting systems are appropriately protected and recoverable during disruptions.

Operating with a high level of autonomy, the role leads governance, assurance, reporting and improvement activities and drives a proactive risk and resilience culture across complex business and ICT environments.
