Job summary

State of Victoria's Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action invites an accomplished leader to join Regulatory Operations Division as Director, Regulatory Outcomes and Performance. You will steer licence performance, rehabilitation and financial assurance, advising the Minister and executives on complex regulatory matters.

You bring experience leading multidisciplinary teams, strategic thinking, and strong stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering regulatory, compliance, assurance or governance outcomes at a senior level.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Commercial and financial acumen, including governance and financial integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead state-wide oversight of licence performance, ensuring compliance with legislative, financial and operational obligations including royalties and rents.
• Drive improved rehabilitation outcomes and strengthen financial assurance frameworks and rehabilitation bond management.
• Provide strategic advice, analysis and insights to the Minister and executives on emerging issues, priorities and risks.
• Lead the management and resolution of complex and high-risk regulatory matters.
