Job summary

Southern Adelaide Local Health Network – Flinders Medical Centre – Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care is seeking the Director of Psychology to provide professional leadership and strategic direction for Psychology services. This role drives service innovation, workforce capability and governance across the division to improve patient outcomes.

The successful candidate will lead the Psychology workforce, oversee clinical standards and supervise staff, while maintaining a clinical caseload

Qualifications

• Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) with endorsed area in Clinical and/or Health Psychology.
• Approved supervisor status at all levels of supervision.
• At least 5 years’ experience in adult psychology across rehab, aged and palliative care.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, governance and strategic direction for Psychology services.
• Lead development and standards of the Psychology workforce.
• Drive service innovation, quality improvement and evaluation of services.
• Offer expert clinical consultation and mentorship to staff.
• Undertake an allocated clinical caseload and support operations.
• Build partnerships to improve quality of life and outcomes for patients and families.
