Director Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships
Our client

Our client is a highly visible, Victorian healthcare organisation with a dedicated community focus. They have a strong reach across the state and a brand which resonates with all Victorians. There is now an opportunity to expand their income growth through strategic partnerships and philanthropic channels, a senior leadership role which you can make your own.

The role

The Director Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships is a newly created role within this well-established healthcare organisation. Leading a team of community focused fundraising and events professionals, you will develop and deliver a multi‑channel partnerships and philanthropy plan to diversify income to support state‑wide vital programmes.

You will build effective partnerships across corporate, government and community sectors to encourage participation and involvement and work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to build community trust in line with their reputation.

In addition to this, you will also be responsible for the following:

  • Inspire and drive a team to deliver and exceed income targets
  • Develop and deliver a corporate partnerships strategy from grassroots
  • Work cross‑functionally with complex stakeholder groups
  • Support research funding initiatives
  • Oversee all metro and regional fundraising events
  • Build community support to enhance fundraising efforts
  • Develop and deliver multi‑channel philanthropic campaigns
Skills and experience
  • A proven track record developing strategic plans to drive funding from corporate, government and community partners
  • Significant experience driving organisational strategies
  • Experience or strong knowledge of working with government partners to manage risk and compliance
  • The ability to identify and secure corporate funding within the not‑for‑profit sector
  • Sound knowledge of public healthcare
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Experience managing multi‑faceted fundraising campaigns
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to inspire your team
  • A resilient and positive attitude towards driving positive change
  • A strong track record providing strategic advice to ELT and board level

This role provides a hybrid work model and requires a strong business development aptitude. A January start date will be required.
