Yellagundgimarra Hospital Doomadgee Rd is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead a remote community hospital providing 24-hour acute inpatient and emergency care. You will partner with local teams, executives and community stakeholders to drive clinical excellence and ensure safe, culturally responsive, person-centred care.

The role emphasises governance, service integration and leadership development across the North West Hospital and Health Service network in remote Queensland communities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
• C Class Driver Licence is required.
• Pre-employment screening including Criminal History checks.
• Evidence of vaccination or immunity to Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis may be required.
• Probation period may apply.

Take the next step in your nursing leadership career as Director of Nursing at Yellagundgimarra Hospital Doomadgee. Make a tangible difference in a remote community where your leadership has significant impact., As the Director of Nursing, Doomadgee, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for a Level 2 remote hospital delivering 24-hour acute inpatient and emergency care.

Working closely with local teams, executive leaders and community stakeholders, you will drive clinical excellence, strengthen governance frameworks, lead service integration initiatives and ensure the delivery of safe, culturally responsive and person-centred care.

Working with us

• For 1 year will get you an isolation bonus of AUD$3,695. If you stay for 2 years you will get AUD$11,085; and for your 3rd year (and every year after that) you will get AUD$7,390 (pro rata for part time employees).
• In your downtime, we will provide 2 return airfares p.a. (full time employees) (inc. spouse/dependents) or 1 return airfare p.a. (part time employees) to the nearest east coast provincial city in conjunction with your recreation leave.
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
• Long Service Leave and Sick Leave accrual.
• Tax savings through salary sacrificing options are also available.
• Plus 2 weeks p.a., travel as required and enrolment and conference costs for approved courses and conferences.
• We also offer staff accommodation (if eligible) or a private rental subsidy of AUD$82.50 per week for up to 17 months.
