About OUM
Oceania University of Medicine (OUM) is a fully online medical school delivering innovative and flexible medical education to students worldwide. We are expanding our digital capabilities and are seeking a strategic, experienced, and forward-thinking Director of Information Technology to lead our global technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, execution, and continuous enhancement of the University's IT and digital services strategy and roadmap, aligned with institutional goals.
- Oversee enterprise systems, including the Student Information System (SIS), Moodle LMS, CRM, assessment platforms, and other federated applications.
- Act as the primary liaison between leadership, academic, administrative, operational teams, and external vendors, ensuring clear communication of system capabilities and requirements.
- Plan, guide, and coordinate enhancements to the SIS platform and integrated applications, including emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality.
- Ensure robust cybersecurity, data protection, and technology risk management across all systems.
- Manage IT governance, policy, licensing, procurement, vendor relationships, and compliance with global regulatory requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of service excellence and collaboration.
- Deliver technology projects that enhance operational efficiency, support academic innovation, and improve the staff and student experience.
About You
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (postgraduate qualifications and professional certifications highly regarded).
- Significant experience in IT leadership, ideally in higher education, online learning, or complex global digital environments.
- Hands‑on experience with enterprise systems, cloud platforms, integrations, SaaS applications, and cybersecurity programs.
- Experience supporting Learning Management Systems (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard) and other digital teaching and assessment platforms.
- Proven success in delivering technology projects, managing vendors, and driving digital transformation.
- Ability to operate effectively in a remote‑first, multi‑time‑zone environment.
