South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking an experienced leader to direct Liverpool Hospital's emergency management strategy and wraparound resilience initiatives. The role partners with senior leaders and external agencies to coordinate major incident planning and responses, while embedding training, exercises and continuity planning across the service.

The successful candidate will strengthen community safety, patient care continuity and preparedness in one of NSW's busiest health

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a relevant health or emergency management specialty, with postgraduate qualifications in the area of specialty and/or substantial equivalent experience.
• Can you describe a time when you led the response to a significant incident or emergency event?
• Liverpool Hospital operates in a complex and high-demand environment. How would you assess and improve our current level of emergency preparedness and business continuity capability within your first 12 months?

Responsibilities

• Lead Liverpool Hospital's emergency management strategy, driving preparedness and resilience across one of NSW's busiest health services.
• Partner with senior leaders and emergency response agencies to coordinate planning and responses to major incidents and disasters.
• Shape a culture of readiness by delivering emergency management training, exercises, and business continuity initiatives.
• Make a real community impact by strengthening prevention, response, and recovery capabilities that support patient care and community safety when it matters most.
