Lead Safety Excellence at Sydney Trains
Strategic Safety Leadership. Systems Innovation. Regulatory Excellence.
You will:
  • Drive safety standards, systems, and quality management for one of Australia's busiest rail networks. Lead the development of network rules, safety investigations, and quality frameworks that protect passengers, staff, and operations across Sydney Trains.
  • Lead development, authorisation, and implementation of network rules, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Direct rigorous safety investigations to mitigate high-impact incidents and prevent system failures.
  • Drive adoption of contemporary safety practices and design principles across the organisation.
  • Oversee strategic development and implementation of Sydney Trains safety systems and applications.
  • Lead quality management framework ensuring ISO certification and compliance.
  • Provide expert input into SRA Strategic Plan and Annual Plan.
  • Lead and develop high-performing team delivering safety, systems, and quality outcomes.
  • Create culture where safety is genuinely "at the heart" of operations.
Some of your accountabilities will be to:

About you
You possess

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent senior‑level industry experience in relevant context.
  • Proven track record managing implementation and review of safety regulations, policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Experience with statutory regulators, investigation authorities, and certification bodies.
