You’ll be surrounded by an open, collaborative culture that embraces diversity, recognition, professional development and, most importantly, you. Are you ready to make your impact?

About The Role

In the Mining Business Transformation team, we focus on our clients’ strategic and operational needs by addressing the full spectrum of performance, productivity, and financial challenges faced by mining organisations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies, and other stakeholders. Our team partners with clients to improve performance, accelerate growth, and unlock long-term value. In Australia, we have developed a strong focus on the mining sector and are now seeking to grow that capability at a senior level. Our team combines practical mining operations experience with strategic and operational corporate advisory expertise, enabling us to engage credibly with boards, executives, and operational leaders. We are seeking an experienced Manager level candidate (internal title will be Director) to join our Brisbane and Perth Mining – Business Transformation practice. This is a mid-leadership role for a commercially astute professional with a track record of delivering complex transformation engagements, building lasting client relationships, and driving business development in the mining and resources sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth and direction of our Australian Mining practice.

  • Setting clear expectations for team performance, providing regular feedback, and supporting the professional growth of junior staff
  • Fostering a collaborative, high-performance team culture consistent with FTI Consulting’s values
  • Contributing to internal capability development, including training, knowledge sharing, and the development of methodologies and thought leadership
How You’ll Grow

At this level, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of FTI Consulting’s Mining practice in Australia. You will work alongside globally recognised experts and access FTI’s international network of sector specialists, providing exposure to the most complex and high-profile mandates in the industry. You will also play an important role in building the next generation of mining transformation advisors, leaving a lasting impact on the team and the profession.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications 4 to 7 years' of professional experience combining substantive mining or resources industry experience with management consulting or corporate advisory experience. Please note candidates with above 15 years' experience will not be eligible for these positions.
