Job summary

Mount Alexander Shire Council in Victoria is seeking an exceptional Director Infrastructure and Development to join its Executive Team and shape the next chapter for the organisation and the community it serves.

This role leads a broad portfolio across Engineering, Operations, Planning and Community Facilities, guiding delivery of major infrastructure upgrades, sustainability programs and community projects with a focus on delivery excellence and accountability.

• Experience leading within complex, community-facing organisations.
• Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Track record delivering major infrastructure, development or place-based outcomes.
• Strong strategic thinking and governance capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineering, Operations, Waste, Parks and Planning portfolios.
• Drive community-facing initiatives and biodiversity priorities.
• Guide strategic and statutory planning and development services.
• Ensure delivery of major infrastructure upgrades and facility renewals.
• Foster authentic engagement and collaboration with staff, partners and residents.
