News Corp Australia seeks a Director, Enterprise, AI & Data Platforms to lead Technology, Digital and Data's shared platform layer—foundational enterprise, AI, data and integration platforms supporting all apps and digital products across NCA.
The role blends reliable operations with strategic transformation, sponsoring self-originated platform demand and guiding engagement with News Corp Global Technology.
The Director, Enterprise, AI & Data Platforms leads Technology, Digital and Data's (TDD) shared platform layer — the foundational enterprise, AI, data and integration platforms that underpin every application and digital product across NCA. The role exists to ensure these platforms are reliable, scalable, secure, and enabling so that the business applications and product squads that depend on them deliver with speed and confidence.
In addition to the reliable operation of platforms and the delivery of continuous improvement programs, this role has a strong strategic and transformational dimension. It is also TDD's primary sponsor for self-originated platform demand (e.g. tech health, architecture simplification, etc ) and manages the engagement and interaction between TDD and the News Corp Global Technology team.
Lead the strategy, delivery, and operations across three key platform domains: Data & Integration, AI & Agentic, and Corporate & Enterprise.
Oversee critical corporate enterprise systems, such as ERP and Finance systems, and manage workforce enablement tools in close partnership with Global Technology.
Own the unified data and intelligence layer to prevent data fragmentation across the business and ensure operational alignment with the broader data strategy.
Manage the shared AI and Agentic layer by provisioning compute, telemetry, and strict safety controls like content filtering and PII redaction.
Lead and facilitate the data and AI governance forums and processes. Responsible for data management and safety.
Drive and enable the commercialisation of data and AI assets by proactively identifying opportunities to build and monetise new products or services.
Lead the Analytics and Insights practice.
Act as the primary sponsor for self-originated platform demand, rigorously prioritising platform health, architectural improvements, and technical debt reduction.
An experienced leader with 15+ years in large-scale technology and data environments, ideally in media, publisher, or complex corporate enterprises.
An expert with deep knowledge of cloud environments like GCP and AWS, AI and Agentic platforms, enterprise platforms, and advanced integration technologies.
A specialist possessing a high degree of AI fluency, specifically regarding LLM operations and RAG architectures at an enterprise scale.
A commercially minded professional with a proven ability to identify opportunities for growth and asset commercialisation.
An outcome-oriented enabler who provides essential guardrails and platform reliability without gatekeeping delivery or slowing down teams.
Degree-qualified with a Bachelor's or Master's in computer science, information systems, or data science.
