Job summary

East Grampians Health Service in Ararat region seeks an experienced health administrator to lead the Development and Improvement Directorate, shaping governance frameworks, driving accreditation, and overseeing education, research and clinical governance to enhance patient care across EGHS.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and management achievements in a public health service.
• Post-graduate qualifications in Health or Business Administration are required.
• Experience implementing organisational quality management and accreditation processes.
• Ability to lead people with differing expertise and maximise performance.
• Understanding of continuous improvement programs and best practice.
• Strong knowledge of clinical practice, healthcare issues and management.
• Strategic, conceptual and analytical skills at a high level.
• Experience delivering organisational planning, program development and change management.
• Excellent written and oral communication, with influencing/negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of professional standards meeting ethical and legal requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of clinical governance, accreditation and continuous improvement.
• Lead research, education, training, quality improvement and risk management initiatives.
• Oversee occupational health, safety, organisational projects, innovation and change management.
• Develop and manage the organisation's digital transformation agenda including IT services.
• Contribute as a member of a collaborative Executive Team to support staff and patient care
