About the Role

Role Location : Brisbane

Role Type : Permanent, Full-time

This is an exciting Director / Associate Director role in a dynamic team with a fantastic established client base and strong reputation in the market. The position will be a client facing role accommodating an established portfolio of Institutional Property customers with fantastic opportunity to grow. The property clients include a diverse group of private, listed and offshore owned property groups including property developers and investors across residential, commercial, industrial and hotels.

As a Director / Associate Director within the IPG QLD / NT team you will have specific accountability for a portfolio of clients and new-to-bank targets. You will drive high customer satisfaction, the ability to run transaction independently and disciplined revenue growth by working cooperatively and respectfully with R&A, Property Risk and product partners to originate, structure, execute and manage banking solutions for clients.

What will your day look like?

Your key priorities and responsibilities include :

  • Manage a diverse client portfolio of property with clients across different sub-segments of the property markets in QLD and with varying banking needs and styles.
  • Build trusting relationships with business owners and executives of clients in portfolio and new-to-bank targets and over time across other clients.
  • Establish and execute engagement & revenue growth strategies for clients in portfolio.
  • Understand the strategic initiatives and pipelines of clients and cater product sales to meet client’s needs.
  • Drive the execution of transactions within risk appetite and in an efficient manner, meeting client timeframes.
  • Hands on role structuring and negotiating complex structured property finance deals.
  • Work closely with the team including State Director, R&A and Credit Risk executives.
  • Collaborate with the product specialists to ensure strategy execution is in line with risk appetite.
  • Consistently meet or exceed customer expectations through superior customer service and developing industry insights.
  • Convert new-to-bank targets into valuable customers.
  • Direct client management and be a client advocate.
  • Execute Institutional Australia and IPG strategic plans including client satisfaction and portfolio revenue and ZCEP growth.
  • Were appropriate work closely with inter-state, inter-segment and offshore ANZ teams to ensure smooth client.
What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following :

  • Extensive experience in banking with relationship banking, loan structuring or structured finance. Particular focus will be placed on Property expertise and construction lending experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications preferably in Property, Economics, Property or Law
  • In depth knowledge of a broad range of Institutional banking products and services with emphasis on structured property finance and / or construction finance.
  • Strong team leadership skills will be a firm requirement for this role.
  • Proven performance and broad Relationship Management experience preferred with a focus on the corporate / Insto market
  • Excellent relationship, business development, interpersonal and negotiating skills with ability to build a profile in the market.
