The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) is seeking a Director Aboriginal Outcomes to provide leadership and direction across DCCEEW to deliver outcomes for Aboriginal communities under the Closing the Gap framework.
This role is responsible for providing leadership and direction across DCCEEW to deliver outcomes for Aboriginal communities under the Closing the Gap framework.
It is responsible for implementing DCCEEW’s Aboriginal Outcomes Strategy and key priority actions, oversees reporting, and facilitates the DCCEEW relationship with the Coalition of Aboriginal Peak Organisations to enable greater connections between departmental programs and Closing the Gap outcomes.
The successful applicant will be a strong relationship builder with a proven track record in building a high degree of trust with and for Aboriginal peoples, communities and entities in NSW to provide cultural advice, support and guidance. You will have highly advanced communication and collaboration skills along with the ability to engage, influence and negotiate with key stakeholders which will be critical to your success.
