Job summary

The Head of Strehlow Research Centre at MAGNT in Alice Springs leads Aboriginal cultural heritage programs, research strategy and collections care. You will guide the SRC, build partnerships with Custodians and Elders, and ensure culturally appropriate governance and repatriation aligned with MAGNT’s mission.

• Leadership experience in cultural heritage or museum context.
• Ability to build and sustain partnerships with Indigenous communities and custodians.
• Strategic planning and governance for research centers.

• Provide strategic leadership for the Strehlow Research Centre's operations and programs.
• Foster Strong relationships with Custodians, Elders and communities to support culturally appropriate research and repatriation.
• Oversee collections care and governance to advance MAGNT's mission.
